International Institute of Jewelry Forensics Pvt. Ltd. (IIJF)
By enrolling in any course, workshop, or training program offered by the International Institute of Jewelry Forensics Pvt. Ltd. (“IIJF,” “the Institute,” “we,” “us”), you (“the Student,” “you”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read each clause carefully. Your enrollment, payment, and participation confirm your acceptance of these terms in full.
1. Course Completion Requirements
To successfully complete a course and become eligible for an IIJF certificate, the Student must:
a. Maintain attendance in accordance with the IIJF Attendance Policy.
b. Attempt and complete all prescribed practical examinations, assessments, and assignments as specified for the enrolled course.
2. Attendance and Absence
Attendance is mandatory as per the IIJF Attendance Policy. A Student enrolled in any practical, laboratory, or identification session may not miss any part of the first scheduled day, and may not miss more than three (3) hours in total across the duration of the course. Excessive absence may result in disqualification from examinations or denial of certification, at the sole discretion of the Institute.
3. Personal Gemstones and Materials
No Student is permitted to bring personal gemstones, diamonds, or other valuable materials into the classroom or laboratory for any reason. If any such item is found in a Student’s possession, it may be confiscated and shall become the property of IIJF. The Institute accepts no liability for the loss, damage, or theft of any personal property a Student chooses to bring onto the premises.
4. Responsibility for Institute Property
The Student understands and agrees that they are responsible for all class equipment, gem materials, instruments, tools, and any other property loaned to them by IIJF during the term of enrollment. The Student agrees to:
a. Pay a minimum replacement fee of INR 500, or the current market value (whichever is higher), for any item lost.
b. Pay the full cost of replacing any instrument or tool that is lost.
c. Pay the cost of repairing any instrument or tool that is damaged beyond normal wear and tear.
d. Handle all equipment and materials carefully and in a safe manner at all times.
5. Conduct on Premises
The Student agrees to abide by the general rules and regulations of the Institute’s premises and classrooms. The Student shall not create any hindrance, nuisance, or disturbance to other occupants, students, staff, or visitors while attending courses or visiting the campus.
6. Certification and Fees
The Student understands that no certificate, diploma, or award will be issued until their account with IIJF is paid in full and all outstanding dues are cleared.
7. Use of Name and Likeness
The Student understands and agrees that their IIJF award or certificate will be issued in the name provided by the Student at the time of enrollment. It is the Student’s responsibility to ensure that this name is accurate and correctly spelled.
8. Intellectual Property and Course Materials
All course materials, including but not limited to study guides, presentations, notes, videos, and digital content, are the intellectual property of IIJF and are protected under applicable copyright law. The Student understands that any unauthorized copying, reproduction, distribution, modification, translation, adaptation, or use of these materials, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited. Any such act may result in legal action, whether civil or criminal.
9. Assessment and Coursework
The Student understands and agrees that they are required to submit all homework, assignments, practical work, and assessments in accordance with IIJF’s course guidelines in order to be considered for certification.
10. Accuracy of Agreement
The Student is entitled to an exact copy of this agreement and any disclosure pages associated with their enrollment.
11. Withdrawal and Return of Property
The Student understands that should they withdraw from a course prior to its completion for any reason, they remain responsible for returning all property belonging to IIJF in good condition. Withdrawals are subject to IIJF’s Cancellation and Refund Policy.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Both parties agree that any dispute arising under or in connection with this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
13. Severability
In the event that any provision, word, phrase, clause, sentence, or portion of this agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid for any reason, that portion shall be modified or removed only to the extent necessary to make the agreement legal and enforceable. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law.
14. Acknowledgement and Acceptance
By enrolling and signing below (or by accepting these terms electronically), the Student certifies that they have:
- Read, understood, and agreed to their rights and responsibilities as set out above.
- Read and understood IIJF’s Cancellation and Refund Policy, which has been clearly explained to them.
- Read and understood the course description and requirements as set out in IIJF’s current education materials.
- Received and reviewed the course catalogue or brochure containing all important policies and information relevant to the course prior to signing this agreement.
The Student further certifies that they have never been convicted of a crime. The Student understands and agrees that this agreement becomes a legal and binding contract once accepted by the Student and IIJF, and confirms that they have received a copy of this agreement.
