At International Institute of Jewelry Forensics Pvt. Ltd. (“IIJF Global”), we are committed to delivering high-quality education in gems, jewelry, and allied disciplines. We understand that circumstances may sometimes require students to withdraw from a course, and this Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted.
By enrolling in any course or making a payment through our Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.
1. General Principles
- All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) through Razorpay, our authorized payment gateway.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@iijfglobal.com from the email ID registered with the enrollment.
- Refunds, where applicable, will be issued only to the original payment source (credit card, debit card, UPI, or bank account) used at the time of enrollment.
- All refunds are subject to deduction of applicable transaction charges, GST, and administrative fees as detailed below.
2. Refund Schedule for Diploma Courses
The following refund schedule applies to all diploma and certified courses (Diamond Grading, Gemology, Jewelry Forensics, Diamonds & Gemology, Navratna & Astrogemology, Jewelry Retail Sales Management, and similar programs):
a) Cancellation Before Course Commencement
- More than 14 days before start date: 85% refund of the course fee paid. A 15% administrative and processing fee will be deducted.
- Between 7 and 14 days before start date: 50% refund of the course fee paid.
- Less than 7 days before start date: 25% refund of the course fee paid.
b) Cancellation After Course Commencement
- Within 7 days of course start (and before completion of 15% of the course): 50% refund of the course fee paid.
- After 7 days of course start, or after completion of 15% of the course: No refund will be issued.
- After receiving course materials, kits, or login credentials: Cost of materials/kits will be deducted from any eligible refund, regardless of usage.
3. Workshops and Short Courses
For workshops, crash courses, and short-duration programs (typically 1–7 days):
- More than 7 days before workshop date: 75% refund.
- 3 to 7 days before workshop date: 50% refund.
- Less than 3 days before workshop date or after commencement: No refund.
4. Online Courses
For self-paced online courses where digital access has been granted:
- Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment, provided that no more than 15% of the course content has been accessed.
- Once more than 15% of the content has been accessed or a course completion certificate has been issued, no refund will be granted.
5. Hybrid Courses
For hybrid courses combining online and offline components, the refund will be calculated proportionally based on the components accessed and the schedule outlined for diploma courses above.
6. Corporate Training Programs
Corporate training programs are governed by individually executed agreements between IIJF Global and the contracting organization. Refunds for corporate engagements will be handled in accordance with the terms of the relevant agreement and are not covered by this general Policy.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Registration fees, application fees, and assessment fees
- Examination, certification, and certificate verification fees
- Cost of physical course kits, books, gemological tools, or starter materials once dispatched
- Payment gateway charges and transaction fees levied by Razorpay or the bank
- Promotional discounts, scholarships, or fee waivers
- Late-payment penalties, if any
8. Course Cancellation by IIJF Global
In the rare event that IIJF Global cancels a course due to insufficient enrollment, faculty unavailability, force majeure, or other operational reasons, students will be offered one of the following options:
- A full refund of the course fee paid (excluding non-refundable transaction charges)
- Transfer of the entire fee paid to another course or a future batch of equivalent value
- A credit note valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation
9. Refund Process and Timelines
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Step 1: Send a written refund request to info@iijfglobal.com from your registered email address, including your full name, course enrolled, payment receipt/transaction ID, and reason for cancellation.
- Step 2: Our team will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and review eligibility based on this Policy.
- Step 3: If approved, the refund will be initiated within 7–10 business days from the date of approval.
- Step 4: Once initiated through Razorpay, the refunded amount typically reflects in your account within 5–10 additional business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
IIJF Global is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card networks, or the payment gateway.
10. Course Transfers and Deferrals
In place of a refund, eligible students may request a one-time transfer to a future batch or a different course of equivalent value, subject to the following:
- The request must be made before 50% of the course is completed
- Course fee differences (if any) must be paid before the transfer is confirmed
- Transfers are subject to seat availability
- Transfer requests must be utilized within 12 months of the original enrollment date
11. Disputes and Chargebacks
We encourage students to resolve any concerns directly with us before initiating a chargeback or dispute through their bank or card issuer. Filing a chargeback in violation of this Policy may result in immediate suspension of access to course materials, withholding of certificates, and may be contested by IIJF Global with supporting documentation.
12. Force Majeure
IIJF Global shall not be held liable for any failure to deliver the Services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, or technical failures. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule classes or provide alternative arrangements.
13. Amendments to This Policy
IIJF Global reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. The Policy in effect at the time of your enrollment will govern your specific transaction.
